joel frederiksen covers nick drake in a beautiful album called requiem for a pink moon.
In 2012 Joel Frederiksen put together a tribute to Nick Drake, called "Requiem for a Pink Moon". The album, an Elizabethan-era re-rendering of Drake songs on period instruments, intertwined with settings of a liturgical requiem and songs by other singer-songwriters from the Elizabethan era (Campion, Dowland), meditates on Drakes Pink Moon record and extends it. But keeps the spectral space. Spinning that fine line that Drake spun in 1972, inter-twining desperation with hope.
